About the Author - Pushpa Suriyaarachchi



Pushpa Suriyaarachchi grew up in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. She had her primary education at Gamini Maha Vidyalaya and Good Shepherds Convent Nuwara Eliya and secondary education at Bandarawela Central College.

After completing her undergraduate studies in medicine at University of Peradeniya, she migrated to Australia in 1995.

Pushpa is a fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and practices as a specialist physician in Sydney. She is also affiliated to the Nepean Clinical School of the University of Sydney as a Clinical Lecturer.

She has written short stories in Sinhala, for the New South Wales Sinhalese Cultural Forum publications. One of her short stories written in Sinhala was included in the recently published short story collection “Osee Rate Ape Katha”.

Lost in Floral Rain is her first novel.
